It would seem that a small matter was forgotten in the rush of recent
events, that of the clan of the Keepers of the Red Fog, or "security"
for those who wish to learn more about it through their scrolls. As you
have by now realized, it is still in my possession.

I am no thief, of course, and would not dream of keeping Mhaldor's
Security clan for myself, especially when it was a blunder on the part
of the Council to forget that I was still in charge of it when I was
replaced as Minister.

In fact, to show my goodwill, I will offer to return this clan to you,
unharmed and untouched. All I ask in return is a little donation of
150,000 gold sovereigns. These will only be accepted inside a letter
mailed to me. If I receive such a letter, the clan will be transferred
almost instantly.

However, if in 7 months' time I have not received this ... donation ...
I will then auction off this clan to the public at large. Surely someone
in the world will be most interested in being the new owner of Mhaldor's
Security clan.
