Asara

I would like to take a moment to express my congratulations to Asara for
having achieved the number one ranking in so many areas, most recently
combat. I've known Asara personally for a number of years and it seems
that one thing needs to be cleared for those who don't know her -- she
is a person of the highest moral integrity and in no way did she attempt
to manipulate the system. She accepted every challenge offered to her,
and went out seeking the then-number one ranked combatant (Alban) and
defeated him in the arena to claim the top spot.
I also know for a fact that Asara sought advice on combat techniques for
her class and specific thoughts on how to defeat other classes. I know
this because I was one of the ones who offered her such advice. She had
the means and the resources to afford combat supplies that most of the
other combatants simply don't bring into the arena every time, hence she
had advantages... but only advantages she had earned.
There's certainly a difference between combat in the arena and combat
out of the arena, as has been noted already. But let not the detractors
ruin the accomplishment -- I'm proud of you Asara for all that you've
done in the lands. Your contributions surpass all that most could hope
for.
