The Codex, Shallam and You!

Firstly, I'd like everyone to note that this is not an attack on
Shallam, the Church, or whatever, it's just saying what I see happening.
That said...
Silly Ashtani! Have you forgotten what Shallam is about? No, its
founding principle isn't Absolute Good. It's Hypocritical Good! Shallam
will do what Shallam wants, regardless of whether it contradicts what is
actually 'Good' in their eyes or not.
Having that been said, what exactly is 'Good' in Shallam terms? From
what I've been told, Good has to do with protecting the weak and the
innocent, maintaining Order, and forgoing all earthly desires. (The last
of those is just speculation on my part, since Shallam does not seem to
tolerate my Mother's realm, when in fact She and Her teachings are not
actually Evil.)
Why then does the Codex say all this gobbledygook about not fighting on
Holy ground, and respecting the Divine and stuff? Why doesn't it
actually go into detail about what Good is and how Good can be upheld?
Well, the Church was originally founded, not to spread the ideals of the
Good, the Just and the Orderly, but merely to spread the awareness of
the Divine realms. The Church was founded to worship all Divine, from
what my cousin has told me, but eventually mutated into the strange and
illogical organization based on spreading the virtues of Good and
'oppressing Evil' that we all know and gape at today.
In short...
Yes, Golgazir, there is a Logos Claus. Wait, what? What do you mean I
changed subjects? I thought we were--NO! Don't write that you dolt!
My sincerest apologies. For those of you wondering, that incompetent and
pathetic excuse for a scribe has just been sacked. My entire point seems
to have been lost though. No matter. I doubt I had a point to begin
with.
This just shows to go you that if you want something done, you need to
do it yourself.
And when I say, "Do it yourself," I mean pay your scribe more.
Sincerely,
The Thoroughly Confused and Short-Attention-Spanned--Hey, a coin!
