Thank you for the meaningless words

Child,

I would like to say that I enjoyed your words, but sadly they were
meaningless.

Some wars start for the most righteous and decent of reasons, while some
wars begin for things as small as petty arguments. Some of the greatest
conflicts in the histories of the planes were fought over something as
small as the love of a woman, while others centered on the ideological
differences of sovereign nations. In this case, I chose not the reason
why some Ashtani moved against your city, but instead simply sat back
and enjoyed the show laid out before me. However, it was you who decided
to throw your patrons names into the fray, choosing to say they will not
allow your city to be destroyed. Was this a threat? Was this simply and
admission of defeat? Nonetheless, I will not allow those who seek war
for whatever reason they choose to be scared off by the idle quotes of
someone who has no political standing to make such claims. As such, you
should note that while your city may have divine backing, there are
quite a few other divine who will gladly support the opposite side of
the coin. That is my vested interest here. I care not for the reasons of
the claimed war, as my realm incorporates all that is war.

Perhaps you should read my words again, and begin to realize it is time
for you to simply defend that which is yours. You say there is no reason
to partake in this conflict, but I ask you if you have any pride at all.
Your city has been attacked, and in response, you merely say we have no
reason to do anything at all. Do you think Ashtan would stand by idly if
attacked or a large number of guards slain? Most cities would not, but
instead would seek to show some form of courage in dealing with those
who seek to destroy them. Now, you have pointed out it is a small number
of Ashtan that have chosen to participate in this conflict, and I must
chuckle at that. So you are willing to admit that merely a small number
of Ashtani have decimated your guard force, and left with only a few
deaths to their small numbers? Why, I believe you are correct then when
you said there is no need to have this conflict. You have admitted truly
that you are a defeated group.

Oh, and I will have to disagree at your faith in Hashan's ability to
respond to the incurring engagement. If history has anything to show us,
your best defense is to whine and cry long enough for Shallam to come
and save you. Again, another interesting strategy on the part of your
city...

Now if you are quite done, please return to your nursery. I await
responses from those who matter, and not one who has delusions of
grandeur. When you gain some experience in the ways of Combat or War,
feel free to respond again, but I don't believe that day will come.

Be well Child.
