Your cute little poem

The end of our engagement should have been a private matter between
Elora and I. But when such things happen, everyone has an opinion.
Everyone has advice. And some people completely cross the line. Your
poem, Talkaze, puts you in the third category
I have spent my life loving that woman, and for the last eight years I
have had the pleasure of calling her mine. For seven of those years, we
have been engaged. For reasons I will not go into, it unfortunately
ended. However, it did not end because of any impropriety on either of
our parts.
Not long ago, Talkaze, I journeyed to Mhaldor to have a talk with you.
To demand an explanation for your worthless little poem. You indeed did
speak with me about it, and I thank you for that.
You claim she is a whore because she had affairs with five or six men
while she was with me. When you said that, I was cut so deeply. I wanted
the names of these men so that I could confirm these rumors and have the
pain that was coming to me. And then you listed the names. Talkaze, you
make me laugh. You attempt to sully the reputation of one who is a
sterling example of what a person should be because you are bitter that
she hurt a nameless 'someone.' You are bitter because this relationship
that you are angry over did not work. And that is the entire reason
behind your cute little story. How do I know this? Because you made up
names. For example, you implicated someone you coyly thought was a bard.
Only he wasn't a bard, was he? If your going to lie, make sure you do
your homework - not only were you wrong about his class, you were also
wrong about his relationship to her. That man is her son. And with
deepest apologies to those who this may describe, if you knew Elora you
would know she isn't twisted a twisted little inbreeder. Another of the
men you implicated, or tried to do so, has been asleep about as long as
she and I have been a couple. Really now, if you had done just a little
probing you might have actually come up with some plausible candidates.
Everyone you came up with is nonsense for reasons obvious to all those
who know my sweet Elora.
Sapience, please regard Talkaze's poem as you would a scribble on the
bathroom wall. Only the scribble has more value. Talkaze confessed to me
that she is angry that Elora broke up years and years ago with someone
whose name was withheld from me. These malicious untruths are the result
of a bitterness which festers inside that woman. Elora is the truest
example of what a good woman should be. She would do nothing of the
things that she was accused of, and the only ones who will say otherwise
are those who have a grudge against her. Talkaze, you are a filthy liar
and I will thank you to stop. If you want to toy with someone's
reputation, do it to someone who has it coming. The idea that someone
would use a heartfelt poem she wrote to describe what she's going
through as a way to attack her is disgusting. I could not possibly be
more offended at your cowardly little backhand, done from the safety of
a newsroom.
Talkaze, while I'm sure that your mystery man is quite pleased that you
would strike someone so hurt at the moment of her greatest weakness, I'm
not impressed.
