Response to your Post

Dear Eliana,
In response to your post – “Hashan was warned” does not justify the
actions of Ashtan. Hashan is a completely independent state from Ashtan,
and should not have to change it’s law and policies – simply because
it’s what Ashtan wants. If you beg to differ, may I ask if you view it
as acceptable for other states to raid Ashtan if they view it’s policies
as unfair? I’m sure Shallam disagrees with Ashtan’s policy on orphans
and keeping the De Verris orphanage open – does that mean they can raid
you until you change your law, as you are to us?
And to Ashtan themselves, I still have not received a response to my
post where I questioned the validity of your actions. Despite Eliana’s
post I am not aware of any diplomatic meetings between Hashan and
Ashtan, save Ashtan demanding we change our law to their favour – I
state once again, that I am more than happy to give Ashtan a fair and
just hearing if they wish to solve this matter in a diplomatic way, and
I sincerely hope they choose to do so.
If not, I would like to request that a member of the Ashtan Government
(I stress Government, as it is they who made the final decision) posts
to justify the actions of what would appear to be a hypocritical and
unjust war. I would like three questions to be answered.
1) Why is Hashan’s policy not acceptable, yet Ashtan’s, which is the
same entirely acceptable?
2) Why other states should not raid Ashtan if they don’t like your laws
as you have done with us?
3) Based on the previous two points, why this is not simply an example
of strong-arming and empire building to create the world how Ashtan
wants it?
I look forward to your reply.
