Beginning Anew.

Greetings, lords and ladies of Achaea.

Not long ago, I found myself offered the opportunity, as we all were, to
start a new life as a different class. Many of you may know, I chose a
path to which I had previously been unable to dedicate my whole being. I
chose the path of a woodsman, a keeper of the forest. For some time now,
doubt and frustration with certain factions within the community which I
had hoped to become a part of, has kept me from fully dedicating my life
to the wild.

I care no longer for the doubts which swirl in my mind; I have discarded
them. I walk the road today, and I choose my path, no longer stricken
with any fear or frustration. I choose the path of a woodsman, and only
a woodsman. You may choose to accept me into your membership, village of
Eleusis, or you may not. While it would be pleasant to socialize and
have a common ground other than my love for the forests, citizenship
within your village is not necessary for my life of full dedication to
the forest.

I say the same also to the Ancient Circle of Druids. If you will have
me, then please, have me. But you, also, are not necessary for a life
dedicated to the forests. Pleasantries for a lonely soul, perhaps.
Perhaps more that I am not aware of, but if you wish to help me learn, I
am more than receptive to the idea.

I say it again in plain words. Accept me as a simple dedicant of Nature,
those of the forest, for that is all I am.

To my former City of Ashtan:

You have helped me grow in ways I could not begin to imagine. And now,
as I remove myself from citizenship for the second time, sadness strikes
me, but this is something I must do. Something I have waited all my life
to do. I am honoured that I am able to say, "I was a citizen of Ashtan."

The letter is signed in delicately drawn ink:

Dedicant of Nature, Kered Ta'sa.

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Ero, in the year 402 AF.
