For the sake of Clarity, I will start with the message you sent me.
Envious Accipiter, Ashtans Mascot,
Greetings! My name is Apprentice Druid Holz Sparrow. I am writing in
regards to your harvesting of ginseng in my grove on the 6th of Sarapin
401 AF. I am aware that there is no written law concerning harvesting
from someones grove and I am sure that you harvested my grove by
mistake. I just wanted to officially ask you to refrain from harvesting
my grove in the future. If you are ever in need of herbs I would allow
you to harvest from my grove
with my permission of course. Please try to interpret this letter in the
friendly context it is intended to be written in. Thank you for your
time MLady.

Now, to address some fallicies in your post.
Firstly, unless the practices of you Forestals has greatly changed since
I was one, the room that you have imprinted as your grove does not
belong to you. Infact, it should have no more importance than any other
Natural room in Achaea. As this is the case, I hardly see how you have
the right to tell me where I can and can't harvest.
Secondly, as for your indication that I am using 'your' herbs to line my
own pockets, most customers of mine should tell you I am loathe to sell
Forest herbs, simply because they are so annoying to find.
Thirdly, there was not 50+ ginseng in your grove, there were 38. I
assume by the way you keep track of the exact number of herbs, they are
very important to you, so perhaps next time you will learn how to count
them better so as to not leave any of the less cool kids out.
Fourthly, I do not buy herbs, so I am unaware of the amount in stores.
However, if you would have done a little research in your home
environment instead of running straight to a city, something real
forestals should never do, you would have seen that in the NR, there
were perhaps 20 harvestable ginseng outside of groves. If that is not a
shortage, it leads me to wonder how many plants will have to be extinct
before you begin to think there is.
Fithly, I am not a Forestal in the way many others are. I am not a
member of any Forestal Houses, or of Oakstone. I am a Citizen of Ashtan,
the City of Freedom. And as such, any 'customs' those in the forestal
community apply to themselves, do not apply to me, as certainly the
customs of not attacking forestals have not been extended to me in the
past.
So please, silence your whining, your precious herbs will grow back, and
you can line your own pockets with the amazing 10 gold per Ginseng, or
perhaps the Elm, a huge profit margin on the Elm.
Accipiter
P.S. The reason there were groves around yours that were not harvested
is that I tend to leave those plants who are growing in groves where the
owner can actually harvest them. Your letter and post have shown me the
error of my ways, and I will no longer apply this practice.
Penned by my hand on the 16th of Miraman, in the year 401 AF.
