Dearest Jonesey,

We may be harbouring Glint and Zidayn, but you forget that Ashtan and
Mhaldor are the primary sponsors of some of the most infamous thieves,
thugs and trouble-makers, such as Kiet, Euronymous, Moraine (at one
time, granted she is not welcome in Ashtan any longer), Cain (once
again, no longer Mhaldorian, but still), Syralis, Kaos and Ainly. Can
you really say that Hashan is so troublesome when so many Shadowsnakes
grow up to be thieves? Glint is nothing compared to Kiet, who comes out
of Ashtan only to rob a person blind.

Please think about what goes on in your own city and that of your
neighbouring Mhaldor before coming to the conclusion that Hashan is just
a bunch of dirty thieves.
