The fact of the matter is that they're our orphans, and if we want to
lead them to a place with a deceptive name that will then drain them of
their delicious orphan juices via a blunt object followed by a needle to
the back of the head, that's out prerogative. If we then want to come to
the news boards and dance nimbly around the issue by making thinly
veiled accusations of inappropriate conduct by Shallam's choir master,
that's also our prerogative. If we want to make poorly worded laws that
make it sound as though we care about the well-being of our orphans when
in fact all we want to do is enemy Shallamis who try to lead them out of
the city, that too is our prerogative. If you want to continue to debate
facts of which we are all well aware in the hopes of getting an Ashtan
official (which by the way, I am not, and therefore my opinions are not
those of Ashtan) to admit to something that you all think is horrible,
that's your prerogative. If I want to overuse the word 'prerogative'
just to prove that I can spell it properly, that's my prerogative.
