Forestals

Dear Forestal Community,
Again you miss a key point. My logic is far from flawed. You keep
repeating the same phrase, "The Vertani didn't harm Nature." Yet never
address the fact that sentient races are indeed and in fact Nature. By
killing someone in cold blood you are in fact harming Nature. Because
Nature is what allows us all to live, and once more this is not to be
misconstrued as meaning Forestals should be pacifist. Killing something
is not wrong. Killing it because it helps you live, or because you need
to, to grow is fine. As long as you respect that fact, do not kill
things to the point of extinction (Which is why harvesting isn't harming
Nature because plants like us are alive), and do it because you need to
not. Not because you want to dominate them, or because you enjoy the
sounds of their screams of agony and what not.
The point is, if Person A (Tiamat) is guilty of fault 1 (Blaming
organizations for the actions of a few individuals) then person B
(Vertani) committing the same fault is also wrong. If person C (Random
bad Forestal) commits fault 2 ( Harming Nature: By overharvesting and
not respecting Nature enough to allow it time to regrow or replanting to
fix it) then person C has committed the same fault 2 (Harming Nature by
genociding an entire group of people who are all part of nature) then
they also deserve to be punished by the protectors of Nature.
Bottom line is simply, We are all part of Nature and should respect each
other. Sure we fight and kill people, but we do it within reason. We
even bash creatures for food experience and the like which we also need.
However when entities who don't belong here show up and obliterate an
entire village for the wrong reason, that says they don't care about
Nature or our way of life. Whether you want to acknowledge that all
living things are part of Nature or not, does not change the fact that
they are. You tell me how we would exist without being a part of Nature.
And I'll retract that statement.
The point being, they did not attack the Sentinels, they did not attack
the Druids, they did not attack Eleusis, they did not attack Shallam and
so forth. They attacked the residents and entities of Sapience. Not
singling out a group, but attempted to try and dominate and change our
way of life. They attacked you and I. Not just one specific group. The
difference is, I feel the reason that was mailed to me in this letter is
the real reason why the Forestal community didn't do anything. And that
perhaps it shows weakness and was brought to the public eye so in an
attempt to draw attention away from that you dismiss it as a hoax. I
meant no disrespect but when a well standing Forestal writes such to me,
I find it hard to dismiss. The Vertani affected all of Sapience, not
just the lives of Mhaldor Ashtan and their allies. They attempted to be
the puppeteer by playing on the distaste and hatred between cities,
trying to make Eleusis, Shallam, Cyrene, use their dislike for Mhaldor
and Ashtan and tried to get them to fight each other. Because had Ashtan
Mhaldor and Eleusis, Shallam, and Cyrene gone to war against each other.
After a while they would no doubt be weaker and easier for the Vertani
to conqour. So don't try to play the card the Vertani War was only
between them and a few groups of people. It was a war for Sapience, and
I won't let you cheapen the memory of Thera by saying it wasn't. The
Therans believed they fought and died for Sapience, and I'm sure given
the chance they'd do it all over again. It disgusts me to see people
insult and mock those that die to for their benefit. The Therans aren't
here to enjoy Sapience as it's meant to be. They didn't get to see the
long end of the road of war where Sapience triumphs over the Vertani.
But their Sacrifice helped make it possible to live in the world we have
today. It just sickens me to see people make such a big deal over a lone
forest enemy, when they stood idly by as people died destroying a real
threat.
Never forget those that died so you can enjoy this day and the day
after, for they are the true Heroes,
