I agree with you one thing....it never ceases to amaze me.
First, I would not speak for Tiamat. If he is holocausting and burning
the forests to protect Mhaldor, he has done a poor job of it since
Mhaldor has cast him out. Tiamat and Tiamat alone knows his reasoning,
and if he cares to share it, so be it. But his reasoning matters not.
The cold hard fact and the reality is that no matter the reason, the
forest is just as damaged. Every plant in the grove is destroyed by
holocaust bomb. It is not just a single plant. Each grove holds 360
herbs. The grove is weakened and unable to perform even the simplest of
its tasks. Someone like you would not understand the passion and
dedication that we -forestals- feel for that which we are sworn to
protect. It is our priority, just as your priority is your own
self-aggrandizement. Do not trouble yourself with trying to understand
that which you are not capable of.
Second, you did not break any -minor- law of Oakstone. You broke the
major rule! You exterminated...the most severe action we mortals can
take against Nature. I have to hope, for your sake, that your post is
tongue in cheek, although reading through it, I doubt it. Why in the
world would you be let off for exterminating? Think about it! You
totally wiped out a natural location, to the extent of even removing its
environment....and you should be -excused-? I suggest you do your
research a little better on Oakstone as well. Your arguments do not even
make sense to even argue against them...they are not rational. You seem
to suggest that even though all the patrons of Oakstone, including the
Mother of Nature, Gaia, were all wrong, and you were right...that they
are all outdated....that times have changed and exterminations and other
destruction of the forests of the realm are good things and should not
be punished. You are probably too young to recall, but many years ago,
the necromancers of this world totally destroyed the jungles in these
lands. There was not a single jungle location left surviving. As soon as
we -forestals- rejuvenated the location, some necromancer would come
along and exterminate it again. All of Sapience was without kola and
skullcap during those dark times. Is that a good thing? I doubt you will
agree with that if people like Tiamat continue on their paths of
destruction.
I am only aware of one herb ban on Mhaldor many years ago that was
called by all the forestal guilds. Oakstone does not impose herb bans,
Rhadamanthys. Oakstone has a single job---to preserve and protect
Nature. Oakstone has nothing to do with raids on Mhaldor or anywhere
else. But you know, if Tiamat is successful in his vow to destroy 50
forest rooms per day, there will be no need for a herb ban, because
there will be few in the lands. Oakstone is an organization with one
purpose. Oakstone is not Eleusis. Oakstone is not the Druid Guild,
Sentinel Guild, or Sylvan Guild. Learn that and you will understand much
more than you currently do.
In short, we -forestals- will continue doing what we have always done -
protecting the forests and the rest of Nature from those who would harm
it. And what is ironic, is that our efforts at protecting Nature benefit
you because through our efforts, you have elixirs and salves in your
vials, and herbs in your rift.
And yes, you are welcome!
