Greetings Sapience,
Upon the beginning of the new year of 392, the Sentaari monks are going
to be holding The Festival of the Golden Dragon. Multiple events are
open to all except enemies to Shallam for thats where most of the
festivities will be held. Events such as: A story-telling contest, a
kata competition, a riddle, a Sapience-wide fighting tournament, an ice
race, and multiple other fun-filled games will be hosted by the
Sentaari.
The Sapience-wide Tournament is open to all people except for those
currently enemied to Shallam. The competitions will be divided into
three divisions: The Beginners, The Advanced, and The Dragons. The
Beginners division will consist of those below level 50, the Advanced
will be those above level 50, and the Dragons are...well Dragons, so
theyll fight one another if any chose to join. Matches will be paired
up accordingly with the levels of might to keep it all fair. So that no
one will have to spar someone 300% of their might.
The entrance fee for all participants is an initial 500 gold and the
arena fee for each spar. To enter, just send me, Xellan, a letter
containing your name, level, which division you'll be in, and the words
Enter me in the tournament and you will then be registered for the
competitions. Each spar notice will be messaged to you along with your
sparring partners name and when you have to get the spar done by.
Someone has to supervise your fight or else it will not count, they will
then send me a message of your spar and the victor will move on in the
ranks. In case of time running out in the arena, the two fighters will
go at it until someone loses.
The spar must be done by the date appointed or else both competitors
will be disqualified. If the spar cannot be done in time due to the
change in the schedules of the competitors, then arrangements will be
made accordingly so that both will be accommodated, but they have to
send me a message saying so or else I won't know.
The prizes for the top two winners of each division of the competition
are: for the first place winner, approximately three-fourths of the
total collective earnings of the tournament entrance fees, and the
second place winner will receive the last quarter of the gold. So
encourage other people to come join the game so that the prize winnings
will grow even larger! No roster will be posted on the News at the
beginning, only later when it has all been reduced some will it be
posted, and also the winners will be announced as the Champions of the
tournament.
*In submitting your application for entry into the tournament, you will
be agreeing to the following rules:
1) I will follow the rules and regulations of Shallam and respect all
its citizens and loyals. Meaning that, youre in Shallam, you obey its
rules, break them and you're ousted from the tournament and enemied to
Shallam.
2) I will retain a civil attitude with all competitors and regulators.
Meaning that you will be respectful to those who are in charge of the
event, and if by any chance you encounter a personal enemy during the
tournament, you will handle it outside of Shallam. Infringement of this
rule will get you disqualified from the tournament.
3) I will fight to the best of my abilities without resorting to
cheating methods or means. Meaning, no one will fight in a way that is
considered lowly cause no one likes to fight a cheater.
4) Finally, I will maintain good sportsmanship throughout the
competitions. Simple, no one likes someone who becomes bitter at the
fact that they lost the fight.
Good luck to all you competitors and have fun,
