Greetings, Tyrannus.
I believe we might both be guilty of misunderstanding one another's
words. Your response to my post was indeed quite an explanation for all
of us who wondered about the status of el'Jaziran and Mhaldorian
relations. I do feel that the essence of my post was lost, and for that
I take the blame entirely as it has been some time since I practiced my
writing.
To summarize my earlier post in a perhaps more coherent way, let me
simply say that el'Jazirans ignore your city and your Lord. Your post
claimed their village had been subjugated, yet that has not happened,
and I do not believe for a single moment that it will happen anytime in
the future. You are not able to guarantee their safety as loyal
Mhaldorian subjects, which subjugated peoples should be, nor are you
able to guarantee their safety in any type of slavery to Mhaldor, as my
slaughter had shown. What good is claiming someone is subjugated if
nothing within your organisation nor theirs ever changes? I could right
now claim that Petra, Arcadia and Shastaan have been subjugated to my
strength. It wouldn't make it true.
As you stated yourself, I seem to have gone away from my days in the
City of Light. With that in mind, I do suggest a way in which Mhaldor's
subjugation of el'Jazira would become fact, not mere words. Teach your
citizens what it means. 4 of your Ministers, when questioned, were
unable to provide even a slightly satisfactory answer about el'Jazira. I
daresay they could not even locate it on a map of Sapience. More
importantly, I will believe the subjugation is real when the cities of
Sapience recognize it as such. Shallam and Jaru have a relationship
because all of Sapience recognizes it, not because Shallam said so.
