If you recall, the last time we exchanged pleasantries in this public
forum was through your secretary, Jardon. He expressed to Sapience in no
uncertain terms that the village of el'Jazira had closed its gates to
Mhaldorians, while fortifying its position with the aid of the Vertani
Empire and the fortress constructed on your land. If you do not remember
why this came about, allow me to refresh your memory.

The Vertani assisting in providing the aqueduct to the village of
el'Jazira were attacked by Muteps and Pantalaimon. You were outraged at
the onslaught and called for the two individuals to be cast out of their
respective organisations. I, on behalf of the city of Mhaldor, offered
refuge to your villagers to provide food and water while the aqueduct
was completed by the Vertani. Jardon refused my offer, likely under your
orders, and in the same breath insulted my city.

In retribution I slaughtered every occupant of your village not once,
but many times over. Remorselessly I strode down the sand covered
pathways of your settlement, tearing your men, women and children limb
from limb. Countless el'Jazirans were brutally cut down and scattered to
the winds. As a result of Jardon's impudence, for a time the village of
el'Jazira ceased to be and was reduced to a lifeless wasteland.
Following the extermination of your people, the late Overlord Estan then
declared that any Mhaldorians within el'Jazira would be attacked on
sight by the Vertani forces.

The War has been fought. Through the combined efforts of the Cities of
Mhaldor and Ashtan and their allies, the towns of Thera and Petra and
the Dwarves of Blackrock, the Vertani menace has been brought to an end.
The Vertani behind whom you cowered, cringing pathetically, have been
defeated. Their fortresses have been razed to the ground. You and your
village have been conquered.

Hereafter, Sheik Abd el'Salam, you are under the dominion of the City of
Evil. Whereas once I offered you a choice to seek refuge inside the
walls of Mhaldor, now you have been given no such luxury. All that
remains of the Vertani that defended you are a handful of pennons
bearing their symbol, flapping impotently in the breeze.

Bow down in supplication to The Malevolent One. You have been
subjugated.
