Greetings, Overlord Mournria.
It is unfortunate that our first correspondence should be on the heels
of a poorly-phrased insult of yours to call my intellect into question.
Regardless, I choose to ignore your uncouth behaviour, and instead focus
on the intent of your message.
You have stated that you intend to make all enemies of the Vertani
suffer. You also suggest that my city is filled with 'murderous
barbarians'. I find this amusing, considering the fact that the vast
majority of Mhaldor only became involved with the Vertani after your
forces chose to defend el'Jazira. The Vertani made this choice, and so
must endure the consequences.
By now you have no doubt realised that we have discovered a means to
destroy your strongholds. Perhaps this is why you have offered to bribe
the cities of Sapience five million sovereigns to come to your aid. You
shall find that there will be no answer to your pleas. While the city of
Shallam may assist you, it grants them a reason to oppose Mhaldor and
Ashtan without involving themselves in an open war, you have spread far
too much doubt in the minds of Sapience to entice them to your cause,
especially with but the lure of currency to bait your hook.
So then I say to you, Overlord Mournria, I pray that you have relished
your time amongst the citizens of Sapience, as your unwelcome influence
shall soon be purged from our lands. The stalwart soldiers of the town
of Petra and the devout clerics of Blackrock have cast aside the blinds
of ignorance you would affix to their eyes. They have not been deceived
by the honeyed words coating the tongues of your diplomats. They have
joined the cities of Mhaldor and Ashtan in our conquest of your invading
armies.
After your fortresses are crushed, I will see to it that an effigy to
the Vertani is erected from the shattered carcasses of your fallen
warriors. Let your chastisement ring out as a warning for all others
that would follow in your footsteps.
Respectfully,
Khoraji,
Tyrannus of Mhaldor
