Kaelin,
I'll do my best to notice every tiny flaw in your post, but if I miss
something, please forgive me.
We'll start at the beginning. You hit the nail on the head, when you
said "duelling". As I told you at the time, we were not duelling,
Xenomorph was jumping me. As for you being there, I believe you arrived
after Xenomorph had run from me once or twice. So, Kaelin, if you wish
to speak as if you know all there is to know, at least make sure you
know -half- of it.
Your next point. I was the only Knight in the room when Xenomorph jumped
me. So no, my version of a duel is not having all my "pathetic" knights
gathered around me while I battle Xenomorph. And considering you arrived
halfway through, rather than at the beginning, you have no right to
speak on this either. He had already attacked half of those who were
watching when he attacked me the first time.
If I had done that, it would not be perfectly acceptable in my code of
Honour. As for Elerian. Yes, he did attack Xenomorph. However, one or
two unenvenomed shortsword dsls are hardly going to affect the outcome
of the battle that much. Considering Elerian's not really that
experienced within the realms, and Xenomorph had recently killed him,
can you blame him for attacking Xenomorph when he saw an oppurtunity?
Either way, I told him not to attack Xenomorph several times, stopping
my offensive flow in order to do so.
Yes, I did attack you. However, I never once called your attack on
Elerian dishonourable. If you think that was why I attacked you, that's
your choice.
Considering the multitude of inconsistencies, half-truths, or general
lies within the content of your post that I've covered thus far, I don't
think you can actually back up the statement "You disgraced yourself
with that performance."
As for me "disgracing" Shallam by fleeing the scene of the battle later
on. I guess you'd be referring to the time I returned to my city to ink
a new shield tattoo, and the time I moved one room sw, so if I was
meteored, you couldn't all shoot arrows at me. This isn't cowardice,
Kaelin, this is intelligence.
Or perhaps you were referring to the few times I was fighting Jarrel in
an adjacent room, and eventually got teamed? Either way, I didn't
disgrace my city, nor myself.
Now, onto the last part of that paragraph. I'd like to point out that
half of you were using Delosian steel, or no forged weapon of any kind.
Also, quite a few years ago now, a Maldaathi was relieved of his
longswords when he entered Shallam as an enemy. Interestingly, his
swords were forged by myself. It would seem that atleast some
Mhaldorians prefer Shallamese steel.
The next paragraph was an opinion. I can't argue with what you think, so
I won't bother trying.
The last paragraph was my favourite.
"You have no right to call yourself a Knight, you have no right to
challenge other knights to duels." This, Kaelin, is a contradiction. You
state that I'm not a Knight, then say "other knights", indicating that I
am included as a Knight. Kaelin, I haven't lost my priviledge to being a
Knight, or to challenge other Knight's to duels.
