I know that there are many people out there who wish harm to come upon
you and your people. I am not one of them. It is my current belief that
if the majority of the people of Sapiance learn more about you and your
people, a world war could be avoided. However, at the rate events are
occurring, this seems rather unlikely.

The first step to peace between our world and your people isn't to
exterminate the other group. We must learn about your people. Whither
that means to live among them or just talking to them. This will be a
hard thing to achieve, as many of us can't even speak your language. I
wished to achieve this goal, at least on a personal level. That is why I
went to the Dardanic Grasslands to have your priests bestow upon me a
blessing.

To my dismay, as soon as I found your fortress I was attacked on sight.
This was for no reason other than I was an Ashtani. I didn't even have
time to request a blessing before I was killed. I know that you wish to
protect yourself from Ashtani who want to harm you butI'm not a very
powerful man, your seven or so soldiers could have killed me any instant
they chose. So why did they attack me on sight instead of waiting to see
what my intentions were?

I'm not going to hold it against the Vertani for what your soldiers did,
they were just following orders. Ashtan and the Vertani are having a war
after all. I wasn't thinking what your people would do to me when I
encountered them. If I had used common sense I would have avoided death.
I don't hold you accountable for what happened but, how could you kill
any Ashtani that comes near any one of you. There are still some of us
who wish for a peaceful resolution.

To get back to my main point, we need to come up with a peaceful
solution to this conflict. I believe that we can all live peacefully in
this world. We have a race of people living in our world that we once
considered "evil." They are the Rajamala who sided with the Triumverate
during the Chaos Wars. Though to accomplish this we will need to know
more about your people. Some of the things we need to know are how your
average people live, do you have families like us, ect. We also would
need to know how your government worked. This way we could have better
communication between our two worlds.

Currently fear is ravaging the land. People don't know what to think or
believe. The fact of the matter is, we have never known your true
intentions for being here. There is only one thing that I know of that
can come from what people on both sides of this fight are doing, the
destruction of this world. To avoid this destruction we must try to
understand each other and work out a solution that people can agree on.
We must learn to cooperate with each other. Finally, we must fix the
damage that has been caused by our fighting.

The path to peace will be a hard one, if we choose to follow it. It will
require the cooperation of most of the people of Sapiance. Both of our
worlds should have no real cause to go to war that we can not resolve
and their should be incentive not to. That is, we don't need more
innocent people, like those from Thera to die. To achieve this we must
learn to forgive each other.

Now I know what you and your people have done, some of which were
killing me and the destruction of Thera. I will not forget either of
these events but I know that wish for peace rather than war. Because of
this, I can and will forgive you for your actions.

I really do want a peaceful solution to this conflict. I don't want more
innocent people to die. Though if our entire world goes to war, I will
go to with them. I would deeply regret this action, but I couldn't
abandon them.

Hildar, I hope that we can find a peaceful solution to this problem. I
also hope that you will take what I have said into consideration and
answer some of my questions.
