Oh, compassionate Kotori, do you have compassion for the early
Occultists who were systematically slaughtered by the early church? Or
have things changed so much that you now suffer that which is different?
I'm not writing this to condemn you, but death is death whether it is a
Theran child or a Goblin gaurd. No one is innocent. Yet we, sane beings
as Hingar might say, resist death when possible.
However, the difference between what happened to Thera (or the burning
times) and the deaths from random raids is a significant one. The
Vertani have shown the power to destroy us all in one swoop if they so
choose. They aren't threatening individual lives, they are threatening
our very plane. A plane that Occultists and Priests, Sinners and Saints,
share equally in the great balance of Sapience. The destruction of Thera
has upset the balance between Order and Chaos that binds us all--whether
we care to admit it or not.
Don't you think the time is right to put past differences aside, stop
playing holier than thou, and unite to restore the world we all share?
There is blood on all of our hands, let's not pretend there isn't. The
question now is, are we ready to face the threat of our mass
extermination.
