Quote,
"Firstly, your comment about being a civilization that prefers Peace.
From my recollections, which may very well be wrong, you originally
stated that you did not prefer Peace, but did not engage in combat of
any kind. How then, do you justify the 372 combat-orientated Vertani
that currently reside in el'Jazira? That seems like an incredibly large
amount of fighters for a civilization that does not engage in combat;
and you also seem to be frighteningly effective at it. If my
recollection is correct, there lies the contradiction you fail to see.
If my recollection is incorrect, you may disregard this point."

End quote.

Antonius,
We, as Achaeans, are very combat-oriented. The Population of Achaea,
being the 3 continents, Polyargos, Sapience, and Ulangi, could be around
1000, 2000, 3000, or even reaching up to 10,000 civilians that live in
Achaea. From where the Vertani come from, however, they're population
could be 10000, 20000, 30000, or even up to the millions. We may see 372
combat-orientated Vertani as a whole lot
but for the Vertani, that may be just a small dose of they're people. .
.or perhaps we have already killed most of their people, and they are
sending more and more, as to show that they have more coming, but in
truth, they're numbers could be dwindling down.

Alas, they're fighting style may be frighteningly effective, but perhaps
it is because they use a different type of magic than we do? To them, it
may be weak magic, but to us, they are powerful.

The Vertani did come to these lands to explore. They did come in peace.
Yes, they are aliens from a distant land...

But we must all remember, most of the races that live here now, today,
were aliens from distant lands as well....
