Shallam

Glithoniel, lemme just point something out to you, that you may not have
noticed.

Ashtan is matronned by Makali, Goddess of Destruction. Seems to me like
Thera was...destroyed. Why, then, does that bother them, since it's
fulfilling their Goddess' personification? Something to consider, but
not terribly relevant to this. I just point Ashtan's Divine to you,
because to the Ashtani, Destruction is a cause in itself, at least, I
should think so, what with it being their matron. So destruction of the
Vertani is a proper ends in itself.

Mhaldor is patronned by Sartan, God of Evil. A little mindless bloodshed
fits in most people's worldview of evil, subjigation of others, etc etc.
In fact, your judgement on Shallam's inaction seems to be based on the
Vertani's actions being 'evil' ones, why then does Mhaldor fight them?

Both cities have citizens in Keresis' order, it seems fitting to me that
those following the Goddess of Vengeance would be out for Vertani blood
after this.

Now...Shallam...interesting thing, we're matroned by Miramar, Goddess of
Justice. Justice. Not vengeance, justice. I.e., the rebalancing of the
scales. The Ashtani killed Vertani, the Therans supplied soldiers to
help with this. What, then, is the role of Justice in this? I don't
know, nor do you. But the best part is, -it's not for you to decide-. Do
not presume to judge Shallamese affairs.

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Sarapin, in the year 386 AF.
