My Departure

Dear Sapience,
In the midst of Vertani posts, arguments about thieves, etc. I come to
you to speak of my departure from the Realms. My life has been one of
great happiness, first making great many friends in the Dawnstriders (to
those of you who badmouth them all of the time, you don't know on just
how much you were missing out on), then running into the beautiful Xel
who would one day accept my less than suave marriage proposal. I had a
wonderful Guild, a perfect partner, and a loving family.
In time, for reasons those of you who should know already do, I left the
Dawnstriders and came to the Sentinels some years later, where I also
had many great years - among them which I am proud to say Sohjinn became
my son. One may be asking themself, why then, is he writing this ... the
answer is a long one, but I will try to be succinct... as I never liked
reading public posts myself.
I made a promise to myself long ago, that if I ever returned to the
Realms only to participate in combat, speak of Insane things, and
generally not be the person my friends and family deserve from me - that
I would never return. For a reason similar to this I left the Sentinels
recently, and returned to my home in the Dawnstriders, yet even there...
the trend continues to grow.
There is much my soul should be doing, and must be doing in other realms
- and it is time I tend to them. Perhaps in time I will return, no doubt
I'll be on occasionally to harass a few people, but little more than
that.
There are so many people I owe a personal goodbye to, and I wish you all
knew who you were, but in lieu of trying to remember everyone, and
forgetting some, I just want to say thank you, for everything. Even
those of you who only met me with the business end of a weapon, thank
you.
Fare Well, and farewell,
Orophin Windsong
