You all die. That is a fact. I die, you die, we all die. However many of
you view death as some kind of hurdle. Just knocking you back a bit
until you can leave the halls of Sarapis, get someone to put you in the
flame or until a kind Priest or Paladin takes pity on your dead body.
However there are those who look towards death as "Bad". I have seen
both sides of the Spectrum. I have gone through the bowels of Mhaldor
and the Gilded halls of the Basilica. Death is niether of these. Death
is Death and Lord Thoth is Death. You can't put a lable on death. It
doesn't fall under the lables of "good" or "evil" or even "nuetral".
Death is a a force of its own. A certanty in life that is above
curroption or hypocroscy. You can't bribe death you can't haggle your
life. When your time has come. When your soul is needed in Master's
realm you die. There is no way out of it.
Death. When I say the word I am sure your thoughts race to some viscious
death. Having a magi stormhammer you to death, or any old chap with a
bladed weapon and transcendent weaponry lopping off your head. However
the physical death isn't the only death. Thoughts inside you are dying
all of the time. Your beliefs may die, or your ideas of a person, place
or thing may fall into ashes. In the same way thoughts are given birth
in your mind from the ashes of their predescessors. Such as in a forest.
Plants die to make way for the new. If deer found the secret of
agelessness and began to wield god-like strength their numbers would die
off in mass amount due to starvation. As would many of the other animals
of the forest due to the massive population of deer about. Things die to
make way for the new. The decaying log is food for upcoming fungi and
plants grow in the clearing were the sun can finally peak in due to the
death of the tree which just fell. Thoughts, ideas and beliefs die and
new thoughts, ideas and beliefs grow in their place. Lord Thoth
influences all of your lives. Life does not thrive without death.
