Know that this day, Ashtan and Thera have forged an alliance for the
mutual benefit of our two peoples. The terms of this alliance are as
follows:
1. Ashtan will pay Thera 5 million gold in reparations for its past
crimes against Thera.
2. Ashtan pledges that its citizens will work to physically protect
Therans against those who would murder us, including the Mhaldorians.
3. Thera will contribute regular donations of rope to Ashtan.
4. Ashtan will open its docks to Thera to facilitate trade between our
two populations.
5. Thera will raise a militia to assist in its own protection, and, if
possible, assist Ashtan with military defence in the future.
I want to personally thank Erhon for taking this wonderfully enlightened
stance towards Thera, Ashtan's neighbor, and I am looking forward to the
benefits that this alliance will bring both our cities.
