Animals and creation

I can assure, you my dear, that there is a fundamental difference
between an animal and a person: A person possesses sentience and
self-awareness. An animal does not. People are not 'animals made
sentient'. People did not somehow 'grow' or 'evolve' out of animals.
They were created, as people, and never lacked sentience or possessed
'animalhood.'
Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Scarlatan, in the year 382 AF.
