to all people of Sapience

Greetings Sapience!

I'm sad to see so many of the villages had such a deep seeded hatred for
Ashtan... and it seems all the cities. Honestly, I wish you had
expressed this earlier rather than letting such hatred simmer for so
long. We can't change the past, but we can work towards the future...

It is with great pleasure that I announce Ashtan's opening its gates to
all the villages. Any village wishing to become a citizen of Ashtan may
do so. If you move to the Bastion we will certainly take you in as our
own and give the same rights as an Ashtani born denizen. For those
wanting to stay in your villages you will be offered the benefits of
citizenship in a satellite village. These benefits will include
protection from Ashtani, and even a say to Ashtani's government! All
with little to no interference in your government on our part, its not
our place to tell you what to do.

In time we will be changing our laws to accommodate these villages that
choose to satellite village's of the Bastion, granting you your
privileges and stating exactly what rights you have and what voice you
have in the Bastion. These laws will be written in stone on the pillars
of Ashtan... again I must repeat: Written in Stone, for you the
villages. Of course as we're discussing the details as I ink the post,
the quickest villages to take up this offer will have a say in the law
before we carve them into the pillars.

Thera, long have you been our neighbor a village of special interest to
us. Long have we helped save your citizens from the ravages of the crypt
beast, long have we helped Maim in her experiments to help her poor lost
child. Let us officially become one so we can aide each other for years
to come.

Petra, you are the closest neighbor to Ashtan. Do not forget the day's
ages past when Ashtani's blood stained the very fields next to you, the
Sangre plains, to defend you from invaders. I know many would gladly
stain the fields red again for your defense.

To the other villagers, there are far too many for me to address how
we've helped you... how we could help you just remember Ashtan has
always protected Her citizens, and we always will.

Who's heard stories of the last time all of Sapience stood strong
together? Remember the Seleucarian Empire and how strong it was? If we
all work together we can stop our petty bickering amongst each other and
focus on what's truly important, standing strong against any threat...
internal or external.
