Tomaculans are often victims of violence, particularly by those of
Mhaldor and Ashtan. We rightly view these cities as dens of criminals,
but at the same time...caution is warranted with the Vertani. We of
Tomacula would rather die free fighting off the oppression that Mhaldor
and Ashtan visit upon us than accept overlordship by anyone. However, if
the Vertani prove true, and prove that they wish only alliance, not
overlordship, Tomacula will certainly consider its offer.
