Greetings Sapience,
In a formal declaration of Lady Keresis' Divine Order, I would like to
take this time to make public knowledge the series of events that began
on the 1st of Chronos, Year 380, and led upto this point in the Order of
Vengeance.
To begin with, I do not wish to bore you with repitive facts that were
already posted upon the Events Newsboard (Event post #142). I intend to
stick to the mortal happenings and will do my best to remain impartial
in my account of this information. Please take note this is a summary of
it, not to be referenced to exact quotes. I'll admit now to paraphrasing
it to cut length and keep it direct.
Lady Keresis, not long after Her arrival to our lands, made the decision
to pursue citizenship in the city of Mhaldor. After much conversation,
it was eventually decided that She was indeed allowed citizenship into
Mhaldor with the obvious knowledge that it was to remain Lord Sartan's
city. Lady Keresis' agreed and made clear that She had no intentions of
taking over the city.
As is customary, She requested safe places for Her mortal
representatives to erect shrines. In hearsay only, I was told that
Tyrannus Khoraji, of Mhaldor gave explicit permission for one shrine
within the city. Also made notable to me was that while a place for the
shrine was being chosen, Lady Daitya was lending her aide to the Order
of Vengeance. She authorized two places for shrines to be placed within
the city, and as such two shrines were erected.
Upon returning, Khoraji had taken notice of two shrines instead of his
given allowance of one. He directed his inquiry to Lady Keresis, asking
for one of the shrines to be removed. She asked in return for
reparations for the lost essence. Khoraji refused, on the claim that had
his directions been correctly follwed, this would not have been a
problem. When Lady Keresis refused to have a shrine destroyed, Khoraji
took the opportunity to drop both of the shrines within Mhaldor. Shortly
thereafter an argument ensued between the Tyrannus and the Lady of
Vengeance reaching even onto Mhaldor city channel.
With that Lady Keresis took Her leave of Mhaldor, vowing to cast
vengeance upon the city. On Her whim a murder of Her crows of Vengeance
flew into Mhaldor, attacking very aggressively. In retaliation, Cain
gathered a group and ventured to destroy Her shrines. In that time
Eliana, then a Mhaldorian, made the decision to stand by Her shrines and
witnessed Cain's defilings. A physical battle ensued and ended with Cain
casting Eliana from Mhaldor and branding her an enemy and traitor. Not
long after, I acted upon my best judgement and cast Cain from the city.
Not long after that, I myself was cast from Mhaldor by Halios.
Currently the Order of Vengeance is open to applications sent to Lady
Keresis directly via letter. Application procedures may be obtained by
reading the plaque that is affixed before Her Temple in the Halls of
Blackrock. Any questions may be directed towards myself, or any other
Order members. We are in the process of planning a symposium on the
Realm of Vengeance. The date of said open forum is forthcoming, and
updates will be provided when they are known.
This has ended up being far longer then I had intended, but such things
happen when one sits down to put quill to paper. I thank all of you for
your time and attention, and in closing say that I for one am quite
enthralled by the impression this Goddess' Realm has made upon a small
corner of the lands. It is my hope that this public account will open
all of your minds to it, so that you may know what has happened, and
what can be expected in the future.
Penned by my hand on the 16th of Aeguary, in the year 382 AF.
