I also have a few questions as well. Lately there have been several
attacks by your people on Ashtan, killing any citizen of the city no
matter what their stance is. Are these attacks committed by orders from
you or any that rules your people? I personally believe this conflict is
more of a misunderstanding between our two cultures. I understand also
your people's frustrations with us in not punishing the few of our
citizens that have brutally murdered your people. Unlike your own
civilizations where you have one race, Vertani, and as it appears to us
also one belief, Ashtan is a complex mixture of races as well as
beliefs. Do not mistake our diversity as a weakness Hingar for it is a
great and powerful strength when this city is threatened.
There has become a growing concern not only in Ashtan but in the other
cities as well. This concern about the Vertani comes about through lack
of understanding of what you and your people want. What are your plans
here in this Plane? Why have you chosen to come here and not go to some
other plane? Why do you seem to be unwilling to diplomatically resolve
these conflicts? What is your actual position and stance on these
conflicts? Questions like these make many nervous, fearful and
defensive, they also give others whom feed off of war and carnage a tool
in which to incite others against your people.
Remember Hingar that you are new to these lands and as being new it is
up to you and your people to gain understanding in our ways more then it
is up to us to understand yours. The people of Ashtan however do wish to
understand your people to at the least remove any assumptions of what
the Vertani' plans in this plane may be. Do you plan on trying to
control the people of this land? Do you plan on using this plan to
gather its resources and then move on to another? Do you plan on staying
here and just attempt to live your lives while we live ours? Why are you
building fortresses in locations set away from your main fortitude, such
as at the crossroads close to Ashtan we call North of Thera?
If your plans are that of control over us or that of any malice towards
any City in this plane then I must warn you now that that would be a
grave mistake. If your plans however are that of just needing a place to
live then there is a need for mutual understanding and communication
between your people and ours. Once we start that process of
understanding then I am sure you will find a lot of us willing to
befriend your people and possible begin beneficial trade as allies.
