Hingar,
I have sat back and watched quietly in observation as your people have
explored Sapience and intermingled with the populace. I have stood and
attempted to pacify my own citizens to quell the fear and the distrust
that your behavior instilled in them. I, as well as a large portion of
the continent, have catered to you and yours by learning your language
in an attempt to befriend you. You in your part gave us trinkets in an
effort to reward good behavior, much like training a mutt to come when
called. I have attempted to keep relations between the city and your
people positive, attempting to be as hospitable and accommodating while
often times receiving very little of substance in return from you to
quell our own fears. Now I return and find you have made demands and
threats upon the city. Ashtan will respond in kind, our single warning
to you, provoke us further and it will be an open declaration of war. As
for your gifts, please reclaim them at the earliest possible moment. You
have overstepped your bounds in your demands and I will not have the
city be beholden to you or yours.
