Your Mistake

Written by: Succulent Succubus, Amunet Stryganis

Carmell...quit whining. You followed Dji to Mhaldor on a whim, like a
lovesick puppy. For a moment, rationale escaped you, and all you could
feel was the pain of losing him. I've been there, I know. We've all done
stupid things in the name of love. With this in mind, I offer you these
words of advice: Never believe in illusion.

During my stay in Mhaldor, I realized that Mhaldorians are privy to a
passion unrivaled by any organization on Sapience. It is the sort of
emotion that characterizes complete dedication to one's cause. Their
unity in their loyalty to Evil and to Lord Sartan should put the fickle
forces of Good to shame. I respect and admire Mhaldor for this
reason...what Carmell described as blind following takes a lot of
courage. I marvel at the assuredness of those who have complete faith in
their god.

At any rate, the only person to betray anyone in this situation,
Carmell, was you. You were the one the Vertani trusted to bring their
message to our world, and your mistake was fittingly punctuated with
your death by their blades. Perhaps the Vertani will also learn from
your error, and in the future will be more cautious in their dealings
with Achaeans.

Penned by my hand on the 17th of Miraman, in the year 381 AF.
