el'Jazira

Greetings once again, Sheik Abd el'Salam.

You will likely note that this time I have omitted contacting your
secretary, Jardon, as his putrefying corpse even now adorns the altar of
The Malevolent One. I have exterminated each and every single living
being that dwells inside the boundaries of el'Jazira: your concubines,
your guards, your slaves, your merchants, your arrogant secretary, and
aye, even your camels. I then traveled to the nearby nomad settlement
and destroyed those hardy people, following a declaration that Jardon of
el'Jazira brought their destruction down upon them with his impudence. I
do not doubt that whatever nomads might remain shall likely be curious
as to why the meddlings of Jardon have caused their decimation, and
perhaps they shall come to el'Jazira seeking an answer.

When I was informed of the incident to which Jardon referred, that of
Cain slaying the priest, Ralem, in the Temple of the Logos, he was
disciplined swiftly as a result, and since has not committed any further
acts against the Vertani. I certainly would not term this response as
'condoning' his behaviour. However, at this time this information is
merely academic and presented as a matter of interest. I will not
presume to be instructed on how to administrate the city of Mhaldor, nor
shall I have my honour questioned by a desert-dwelling peasant,
especially in light of my most magnanimous offer to the people of
el'Jazira.

I chose to leave you alive, and you alone, Sheik Abd el'Salam, so that
you might take heed when you are greeted with only the vision of
bloodstained sand where your village used to be. I chose to leave you
alive, Sheik Abd el'Salam, so that you might pray fervently to whichever
Divine you follow to restore to you what I have taken. I chose to leave
you alive, Sheik abd el'Salam, so that you might better keep reign over
your arrogance if you should ever rebuild your pitiful desert
settlement.

I pray that you are able to find a more suitable secretary in the near
future.

Khoraji,
Tyrannus of Mhaldor

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Daedalan, in the year 381 AF.
