To Sethrin, the Ore Merchant

Sethrin, could you please carry this message to Estan, the Vertani
Overlord:

I wish to convey my deepest sympathies to the Vertani for your losses.
Senseless killing is no more right against Aliens from another plane
than it is against one's own fellow Achaeans. Please do not punish the
El'jazirans for an evil they had no part of.
Might the Vertani consider building a small extension of the aqueduct
into the Nomad Encampment? I'm sure if the El'jazirans have a water
shortage, the Nomads would no less.
That said, I assure you the El'jazirans have never spoke word of a water
shortage to Achaea. If they had, at the very least least Shallam, with
its cultural and architechtural similarities and inherent love of Good,
would have rushed to their aide, if not for the rest of Sapience.
El'jazira lies upon an Oasis, and it was never known to be short of
water before. If they had but said word of their need...
To all the other outlying villages in Sapience: If you find yourself in
shortage or need, be it water, food, whatever, -please- let the whole of
Achaea know. I guarantee you many will come to your aide, and at least
one of the larger cities if not several. and if no one else does, the
Church of Achaea will without a doubt.

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Sarapin, in the year 381 AF.
