Greetings, Jardon.
I hope things are keeping well up in El-Jaz during this rather frosty
time of Mayan. I read with considerable interest your account of the
Vertani's offer, and with a mixture of delight and worry.
It is certaintly a generous gift of them to construct this Aquaduct, and
I know it will alleviate suffering in your town and greatly help the
people there. However, whilst it is not my place to tell His Highness
the Shiek how to run his Kingdom, it is rather worrying in the way you
appear to declare near-unconditional allegance to the Vertani looking at
your tone. If geniune, then they have done a truly wonderful thing.
However, there are many unanswered questions regarding these creatures,
and encourage you to attempt to discover more about them before swearing
such loyalty to them. Good to know the hand that feeds you well, if you
get what I mean.
If you do find any infomation during your dealings with the Vertani, I'm
sure the world would would love to hear it. I think with some ahem,
exceptions, the majority of Saipence does not wish paranoia about them,
but it can hardly be expected that there is not such a state when they
remain so evasive. It would therefore be mutually benficial to both us
and them if they were more forthcoming and may prevent these attacks.
If any help is required furthering your domain, I am sure most of the
continent will be happy to supply it.
