I am secretary to Sheik Abd el'Salam of El'Jazira. The Sheik wishes to
publically thank diplomat Vorr of the Vertani Empire for his extremely
generous contribution to the well-being of the peoples of El'Jazira. As
many know, we have long suffered from periodic water shortages as our
oasis is not regular in its water production. Seeing our difficulties,
Lord Vorr kindly agreed to construct an aqueduct, at the expense of the
Vertani Empire, to bring fresh water from the Pachacacha to El'Jazira.

Hail the Ascendant! Hail the Vertani! We of El'Jazira pledge our
friendship to the Empire for this gift of life itself. No more will our
children have dusty mouths and our grandmothers die of thirst. Hail the
Ascendant!
