Game of Eyes (clarification)

Apparently, some misunderstanding seems to come from the ill-worded
public post I made after the Game of Eyes event. I thanked Ashtan and
Mhaldor for their "aid." Truth be told, they aided us no more than we
aided them and it was largely just not attacking each other. I was
pleasantly surprised that Mhaldor made no attempt to steal our flags or
go back on our agreement not to attack each other once they fell far
behind. My post was meant to thank them for keeping their word and being
very good sports...not to thank them for giving us the victory, as it
were. My exuberance in victory may have lead to poor conveyance of this
sentiment.
My fault for not being more detailed in my post. I never really thought
it would be a big issue, but apparently Hashan is getting a lot of heat
from Shallam and others who seem to think we are somehow more broadly in
bed with Mhaldor. I will limit myself to these comments on the matter
and assurances that Hashan remains neutral, as is its proclivity. The
decision to enter a non-aggression treaty, solely for this event, was
mine, and I am happy to take responsibility for it. If anyone has
issues, please feel free to address them to me.
On a related matter, I would like to say how proud I am of Hashan and
its advancement in combat and combat and strategy related events. A lot
of hard work by the citizens has begun to pay off. Also, I'd like to
quell any rumors, of which I have heard several, that Hashan placed in
the event because it received flags from Mhaldor or any such thing. As
far as I know, Hashan captured all of its own flags. Further, I can
state with absolute certainty that Hashan and only Hashan defended its
implanted flags. I can say this because I sat on them for the entire
event, along with quite a few citymates.
Thank you for your time and for the opportunity for me to clarify this
matter.
