Ten long years have passed like a matter of months. (Time flies when you're having fun <grin>) As I prepare to reembark upon the rugged road of mylife, it is only natural for me to reminisce and reflect up my achievements, however small in this land of dreams. I had stumbled onto the land of Sapience much like a sailor lost in a stormy sea, who is shipwrecked by fate on a lonely island in the middle of a vast ocean. Since then, catharsis, discovery, and new friendships have colored my Achaean world, although shaded by utter loneliness that a shipwrecked sailor feels as he yearns for home. But I have grown attached to the beloved land of AChaea, and I have duly served with pride and dignity.

I have been a benefactor and a scholar, teacher and counselor, spy and poet, a coward and a fool. An observer at times, I have wandered these vast lands, and discovered a few surprises. For a short while, I experienced the heights of the high-ranked Achaean nobility. I have been both a friend and foe, a pacififist and a bloodthirsty fighter, a lover and misanthrope.

Not bad for a wimpy fairy like me, eh?

And yet, I depart with so many unfulfilled missions, so many open-ended could-have-beens. . .it has indeed been a long goodbye, and has taken me to new dimensions among you, making my life in AChaea all the more worthwhile. The time has come for my final farewell to all of you--to those who will stay as well as to us who will sail off into the horizon with the coming tide

May G-d guide your footsteps along those treacherous paths. . .perhaps someday we will meet again, who knows where?
