An Inside Look at the Sorcerers

Greetings Everyone!
As part of the requirements to take one of the GR exams, we require our
members to write an essay. While reading the essay of one of our
members, I couldn't help but think, "this is exactly right, this essay
should be shared-not tucked away in some robe never to be seen again." I
thought about sharing this essay on the Sorcerer's board, but then I
thought, "we already know this about ourselves" so here I share this
member's essay with the world, as it describes the Sorcerer's mentality
and loyalty to each other very well.

This essay will remain annonymous:

Years have passed since the day I joined the Sorcerers, the guild I now
call home. It's been a long time and yet I still have so much more to
learn. Days have passed, people have come and gone, yet the feelings
everyone shows each other are the same. I read in the help files how
were were to be loyal to each other till the end. In the beginning I
didn't believe that so many people would be willing to help me if I
needed them. Everyone has proven me wrong, the Sorcerers are some of the
most generous, helpful people out there, hands down.
The guild has many different types of individuals, and everyone works on
something different for the good of the guild. We have out combatants
who are the finest in the realm, and fight for our guildmates and the
city of Hashan when the time comes. We have our writers, scholars,
teachers of Elements, and many other things that people devote their
time too. I've learned that we benefit each other by working on our own
things, since it will help the guild as a whole in the end. Our novices
always come into the guild very well trainied, due to the Secretaries,
novice aides, and others who are able to train them. We all help even
the younger novices because they are the ones who will one day, take our
places.
Though I've heard many peoples views on religion and who they follow.
Everyone respects their beliefs as long as it doesn't reflect or go
against the guilds values. This lets us all grow and learn from what
others have devoted their lives too. We are a guild of many people, one
of the biggest, and yet we are still one of the closest. I've never felt
so welcome to be anywhere. The Sorcerers is my home, where my heart is,
and where I'll fight for when I get the chance.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Miraman, in the year 378 AF.
