Hail Sander
I was trying to avoid getting in the middle of what should be a
conversation between you and Sentry Karvax, although I must make some
statements in regard to your post.
Karvax only posted the Seven Truths of Evil, which is something that,
besides public is something that is known by many people, may they be
followers of the Lord or not. Although you took it as an incentive to
get citizens to Mhaldor.
I know that an extra few enlightened citizens is not a bad thing for
Mhaldor but I believe that Karvax was only trying to clear (as he said)
some missunderstandings about the Truths Of Evil.
Now, you said that Good is also about self-advancement, correct?
Although the basic difference is that the followers of "good" help each
other in their growth. There are 3 kinds of people: the weak, the weak
with a potential to be strong, and the strong. And this is what happens
here in the Maldaathi (not necessarily in other Mhaldorian guilds): The
weakness of one is shared by all.
Now should we just eliminate what could possibly be a strong Mhaldorian
or help him progress along the path of Evil and thus ensuring the
collective weaknesses are eliminated? Is that not helping others?
Of course that is the person in question is a weak person (and only
that) we should already know if he can advance himself by our methods
and the teachings of the Lord. We actually eliminate not many weaklings
for they bail out before they can be taken care of. The actual methods
help us deciding who is weak and who wont be.
You might find this quite horrifying due to our differed philosophies
although the followers of "good" do the exact same thing.
If (and this is only an example) an evil person spurs among the citizens
of Shallam (i apologise for using another example in this city but i
cannot find any other which suits better) the strong of that city will
surely try to convert it although If that person is not convertable it
will surely be "eliminated" is it not true?
Now you also said that both followers of evil and good thrive to
advance, yet I say that the big difference is in the methods. The
followers of good use forgiveness and laxity to apologise a weak for not
fulfilling it's duties (which will result in an indisciplined weakling).
The followers of Evil use harshnesses, pain to punish a weakling for not
fulfilling it's duties (Purification through Pain) which results in
non-Mhaldor weaklings and potentially strong persons who have learned a
lessons the hard way.
How do you think you grow better and stronger and quicker? By the means
of laxity or discipline? By having someone ready to cut your head or
someone ready to pat you in the back if you don't do what you are told?
You should try to imagine the potential of ambition and discipline
successfully combined together.
Well that is all I believe, and once again I apologise for making a
remark in a conversation which was not mine. I simply wished to post my
unworthy point of view to enlighten you and others. I apologise if I
have offended anyone or if I have missed a point in your post. I shall
restrain myself from posting in this conversation for the future.
That is all.
