Carry the battle to them. Don't let them bring it to you. Put them on
the defensive. And don't ever apologize for anything.

"Cease Fire" to a losing enemy is most often an alias for "give me time
to recover so I can continue trying to kill you." Do not give the enemy
a chance. Command hesitation loses battles, and makes the enemy bolder.
