True Love

Greetings Droch Herenicus.

I must say that its nice to see that someone out there in the world is
interested in studying religion at such a young age as yours. As is to
be expected though, you perhaps have not studied as comprehensively as
you ought to have done before posting such a verbose but somewhat
inaccurate view of certain concepts.

Keep in mind here that I'm speaking about the concept of Love.

You state that love is the opposite of self-sacrifice, that love is
utterly selfish and that dogmatic adherence to a Shallemese brand of
altruism would lead to the elimination of all love from all of the
world.

Rest assured that these concepts are fallacies. The Shallamese are not
the only peoples of the world to have a religiously altruistic ideal nor
do all Shallamese live by the teachings of the Holy Codex of the Church.
Love is not also selfish but rather, love begets love. When one is in
love or has love for something, that love will invariably abound and
multiply and reach out to connect with people or things that are outside
of the existence of the 'self'. Also you may find in time that love
lends itself to self-sacrifice quite often. A particularly vivid example
of such is seen in the recent dealings with Lord Scarlatti and Lady
Selene when Caer Witrin was presented to the Lady Selene as a gift.

Since you seem to be quite interested in the concept of love and since I
believe you might actually be serious about religion, I invite you to
join the Beholders of Beauty where you will be placed in a forum to
learn more in depth about love and beauty and the Goddess who embodies
those ideals.

In Selene's name,

Angaril Del-Amroth

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Daedalan, in the year 371 AF.
