Your Recent Engagement to Santos

I notice you became engaged to Santos four months ago. I wish you the
best but before you wed, I have for you a short story:
A man woke in the middle of the night to find his wife missing from
their bed. In the stillness of the house, he could hear a muffled sound
downstairs.

He went downstairs and looked all around, still not finding his wife.
Listening again, he could definitely hear moaning. He went down to the
basement to find his wife, crouched in the corner facing the wall,
sobbing.

"What's wrong with you?" he asked her.
"Remember when your father caught us fooling around when you were 16?"
she replied. "And remember, he said, I had two choices: I could either
marry you, or spend the next 20 years in Mhaldorian prison."

Baffled, he said, "yes, I remember. So?"

"Well...I would have gotten out today!" she replied.

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Sarapin, in the year 371 AF.
