Warrior's thought of the day

Once there was a mighty warrior. At a young age he had mastered the
mightiest techniques of fighting. He had proved himself in battle, had
dispatched the mightiest of his enemies on the field. Fierce he was in
attack, flawless in defense. His enemies cowered in fear, his allies
showered him in praise. Unkillable he seemed, and none would challenge
him.
One day, he found offense in the actions of a man in his city. He
challenged this man, expecting him to back down quickly. This lesser
warrior did not do so, and instead met the challenge. "Foolhardy is this
man, for does he know who I am?"
He could not understand why this man did not yield. Was he tired of
life? There is no possible way he could win. His sword technique was
sloppy from the beginning. The great Master decided to toy with him, not
striking immediately. And as the lesser fighter lunged forward with an
unimpressive shot to the torso, his rapier met its target. The Great
Master was defeated; not by a great warrior, by his own over-confidence.
Moral : Any man can be slain on any given day. The Greatest Warriors are
the ones who are still alive, whether by sheer skill, or constant
readiness.
