Hi,
At the bottom of your post, I'd like to point out how you present both
city's responses and feelings, yet you do not represent either. Don't
think you know what each city wants just because of a few voices.
Granted, some may want war, others may not. It's not something that
should be thrown around as if you are representing it.
So.. your post, in summary, was talking about what is already known to
most from both cities and other cities.. just presenting the ideas in a
different view, right?
Well, you yourself said that alternative actions should be taken other
than taking them to the orphanage or to the man who handles his children
'well', "Handel". - And you also pointed out Ashtan already has an
alternative action - Amadia, Ashtan's jewelry, who will take on
(although limited) orphans as apprentices. Is that not alternative
enough? I am sure there are other denizens of Ashtan that are willing to
look into the orphan situation, however.. what other alternative do the
orphans have in Shallam ( I do not know, honestly).
However, I do like the weakening of the monopolization by the Church, as
you stated yourself. Three cheers for you, Kaily boy; perhaps we can do
business in the future.
In Freedom,
- Estach Mercadia,
Overseer of Ashtan
Oh yea, I understand that you are representing your own feelings, but do
so in a way that doesn't sound like you are speaking for both cities.
