Trust

Fellow people of this fine land. I come to you today to share my mistake
of giving trust so that you may avoid it. I do not do this for sympathy
for it was mine own stupid fault, but merely to give warning.

I am a trusting sort, silly I know, I judge people how I wish to be
judge, I treat people as I would wish to be treated, I did trust people
as I would want to be trusted.

So last year on the Market there cam a plea from a person named Avarice,
I know I should have thought hmm Avarice that's a strange name, she
wanted to borrow some credits. Now I'm not rich in credits but I had a
few, I had just returned from a painful rl experience so I guess my
guard was down. I asked her how many she needed and why. She explained
that 30 credits would be sufficient and that they were for her to be
able to learn more of her guild skills.

I thought back to when I was hungry for my guild skills and I thought
fair enough, she promised that she would pay me back (with interest) 3
months ago, so I transferred the credits. A few hours later she thanked
people for buying the credits she had up for sale. I was a little
confused but she explained that she only needed 25 and that she just
sold the last 5. I know again alarm bells should have started ringing.

So this month after sending her many messages I asked a person from her
city about her. Well she is now a Shrubbery.

The moral of this story, trust people but know their history first.
