The Grand Nabobery of Most Things is hereby declaring the valley of Pash
a protectorate. This action comes in response to the frequent killing
and capturing of the butterfly inhabitants by the evil newbies. In order
to protect our friends in Pash, we will be taking the following steps:
Building a 10 foot wall around the entire perimeter of the valley,
allowing access through a single gate, heavily guarded by the Grand
Nabobery. Placing defensive totems tuned against all enemies of the
Nabobery. There are those who might suggest that we instead tune them
against newbies, as they are the offending group, but we feel that it is
more important to protect the valley from our enemies than from its
enemies. Also, we would like it to be noted that we are only working at
the request of the inhabitants of Pash, we are like thier little puppets
and they are our puppet masters.

The status of Pash will be returned to normal once we feel we have
proven our superiority over the newbies, and affirmed our masculinity by
showing that we are not to be messed with...er...I mean...when our
puppet masters feel that we should feel all that stuff.

Those who are interested in trading with the members of Pash should
consider that they can't be expected to fend off frequent attacks and
make commodities! I mean, just look at every other commodity producing
village, everytime they get attacked, production shuts down for weeks!
In the event you convince us that we should be nice to you...er...in the
event that the poor citizens of Pash can produce a few precious
commodities, we..I mean...they...might be persuaded, through meeting our
demands, to let you in, but just for a second.

To those to whom it appears we are trying to annex the valley of Pash, I
can assure you we aren't nearly that clever.
