I'd like to call everyone's attention to an amusing little happening. It
concerns that well loved leader of the Naga, Silvaria.
A while back, Silvaria canceled a Dawnstrider wormhole leading into
Northreach. This in itself is not terribly peculiar, in that the Naga as
a whole seem to feel that any canceling that occurs -must- be us, since
we're the only ones who dislike them, or something. However, they placed
their own wormhole in its place. I of course, immediately ordered it
torn down, and our own put back up. They took it down, etc.
Eventually, Silvaria sent me a message, basically saying "The path to
the North (as this wormhole led to Lonely Prairie, which has a
wilderness exit, with a wormhole leading to the far north) is now Naga
territory." Upon talking with Silvaria, one of her arguments in defense
of canceling our wormhole, was "You can not own a wormhole, nor the land
it's on". Now, me, I fail to see the logic there. But then, Silvaria has
kind of proved she is not one when it comes to logic or sense, (see
posts on Torment prior).
So, Naga, as you may have noticed, we're busy canceling each other's
wormholes. Now, my Dawnstriders back me up on this, because Silvaria is
basically stirring up something. I just have to question, do you? I
mean, up until now, I personally frowned on canceling your wormholes, so
long as they were not a security threat, since canceling wars are a
damned nuisance for all concerned. Even when other Mhaldorians have
canceled our wormholes, I have let it slide, since it was not a Naga.
Even when you've canceled our wormholes in the past, in response to your
own going down (and your just assuming it was us), I've simply dealt
with it diplomatically, rather then watch things go full blown as they
are revving up to do.
So basically, due to the action of your leader, you'll find that your
wormholes are down a lot more then they ever were, a damned
inconvenience. And that's all it is, really, that's all wormhole
canceling is, is a waste of time, an inconvenience. Though, I might
point out, only to those of you without wings. Silvaria has some, so
what does she lose by this? The Naga guild, those of you without wings,
have to bear the loss of wormholes as a burden, your leaders do not. Me,
I'd question that type of thing. Just some thoughts of mine, I'm sure
none of you will listen to them, but figured I'd comment on them.
