Vigile and the shame of Shallam

As I recall Umfufu was a loyal citizen of Shallam for over 20 years and
played a prominent part in the last 2 CTF wins (getting a cityfavour I
believe for some excellent defensive work towards the end of the last
one which was instrumental in a close victory) as well as putting his
life on the line numerous times to defend the city and running
frequently to retrieve the corpses of dead citizens.
Apparantly none of this counts for anything and he is now fair game as a
target for any Shallamese trying to gain some quick experience hence an
unwarranted attack for no reason by someone who is quite highly ranked
within the city.
Prior to this, one of the things that dissapointed me when I left my
guild was the fact that I also had to leave Shallam behind and move
cities and with recent events I was actually going to ask for
dispensation from my new guild to rejoin temeporarily to help with the
war effort out of a sense of loyalty for a city where I was a happy
citizen for 20 years.
This is no longer the case as it is now obvious that any sense of
loyalty is misguided and given an excuse I'll also be a target for
inhabitants who despite preaching idealistic views are just as nasty and
bloodthirsty as anyone else given an excuse and I can now say that I'm
happy to remain neutral and be part of a different city without the
hipocrisy.
Penned by my hand on the 25th of Miraman, in the year 366 AF.
