...Cyrene harboring thieves and troublemakers? That's one of the most
preposterous and absurd claims I have ever heard in my life! If you look
at Table IX. in the Twelve Tables of Cyrene, our laws and
"constitution," it would state that if two non-citizens bring their
aggression in Cyrene, they will be asked to leave then they can be
enemied. We do NOT harbor troublemakers... If a non-citizen does
something like jumping/attacking/robbing you then they run to Cyrene as
a sanctuary- you CAN ask a Senator or someone found on the scroll on
Cyrene (HELP CYRENE) to ask the person who is hiding in Cyrene to leave
since we don't support any conflicts in the city. However if they didn't
do anything to you and was just strolling our streets....It is against
the laws to just come in and use our grounds as a place to jump someone
just loitering in our city. In that case, it seems like the only
"violent" person is the one who is jumping people in the city.
Yes, we do allow Mhaldorians who aren't causing trouble to travel in
Cyrene...? We're not at war with them, they're not at war with us. We're
not going to shake in our boots and whip out our swords (or staves,
rapiers, lutes, fists, and so on) every time some casual Mhaldorian is
visiting our grounds? If someone (Non-Mhaldorian) has no care or respect
for our laws...than I would rather see Mhaldorians who follow our rules
travel in our city other than that person.
So..To everyone's clarification- If someone attacks or robs you then use
Cyrene as a sanctuary... Simply contact a Senator, a Minister, a
security or ambassador aide and they will be asked to leave. Then you
can take care of your conflicts with that person outside the city.
And another thing...Just to clear up some confusion, Cyrene is morally
good and politically neutral. While we expect our citizens to do no
crimes or bad things, we don't go on some crusade to destroy every
little Moghedu hunter or evil-doer in Sapience... As long as they leave
us alone and respect us, we give them the same treatment.
