your post as well others have done a very good job of it.
Now to Diamondesce

My first question is why anyone who values himself want to survive
Mhaldor. Sure those of us who have strong will and values would more
than likely not survive Mhaldor. Those of us that would not want to be
slaves, who do not want to pray upon the weak then tuck tail, show
yellow strip and run home.
Sure we die when we raid Mhaldor, but what you forget is Mhaldor also
dies when it raids Shallam. Do you forget that your own city raids on a
constant basis as well. Does it hurt Shallam no it does not. You only
raid to feel self important, or for other reasons that I myself don't
understand. But when we raid, when Eleusis raids, we go in to kill your
coward thieves, because we know they arent coming out unphased and
willing to die for thier crimes. Yes we raid Mhaldor, yes we complain
how Mhaldorians are cowards that spend 90% of thier time hiding in thier
city awaiting a single chance to run out when no one is looking and kill
or rob a innocent, but I dont hate mhaldor, I pity it. I pity a city
with all the funds, and potential that Mhaldor has, and watching it
fall. Sure you get joy out of the misery of others, and we get joy out
of slaying you. We dont do it because of war and we have to fight, we do
it because we want to fight, Shallam does not force its citizens to
fight, it is thier choice. Where war would ultimatly force them all to
fight. I respect the leaders of Shallam in not declaring war and putting
those unable and unwilling to the battlefield. Those of us willing do
enough to hinder and destroy Mhaldor. Where you seem all the willing to
throw all your members into a battle in which they may not agree or as
you said may be innocent to the crimes of Mhaldor. You claim that we are
wrong in coming into your city and killing those innocent of the crimes,
yet you seem all the willing to have them declared open killing to us.
See your first mistake is we dont kill innocents. We dont kill
Mhaldorians that don't attack us first or who havent done any crimes. We
do not surcome to bloodlust. We kill what we have to kill and no more.
Even if Shallam did declare war we would not kill just because we can.
In that I doubt we will ever see Shallam declare war on Mhaldor or any
other city for that matter.
